Designing Better Ways to Build

Founding Principal, Jedd Pellerin, is a registered architect, designer, builder, and real estate development professional with more than 25 years of experience bringing complex ideas from concept to reality.

His career has been shaped by a belief that great architecture is about more than designing beautiful spaces. It is about understanding how things are actually built—and finding better ways to bring design, construction, technology, economics, and human needs together.

Over the course of his career, Jedd has designed hundreds of residential projects across the United States, along with commercial, institutional, hospitality, and specialty projects. His work and experience have included projects connected to organizations and brands such as the Smithsonian Institution, Georgia Aquarium, Apple, GE Capital, and Ferrari. His work has also been featured in publications including Architectural Digest, Smithsonian Magazine, Timber Home Living, and This Old House.

Throughout his career, he has worked across the entire development and construction ecosystem; from architecture and project management to fabrication, preconstruction, estimating, real estate development, and manufacturing. That broad perspective has given him a practical understanding of the challenges that can arise when design, construction, and business operate in silos.

His early experience working in the construction trades and alongside a master cabinetmaker gave him an appreciation for craftsmanship and the realities of making things. That hands-on foundation continues to influence how he approaches design today: with curiosity, practicality, and respect for the people who ultimately build what gets designed.

The result is a career that sits comfortably at the intersection of design and delivery.

Practice with Purpose

Today, Pellerin Architects is particularly focused on the future of housing and construction. Our work in modular and off-site building reflects a desire to make the construction process more predictable, efficient, scalable, and accessible without sacrificing quality or good design.

We see off-site construction not as a departure from architecture, but as an opportunity to rethink how architecture is delivered.

By combining architectural thinking with real-world construction experience, we work to create building systems and processes that address some of the industry's most persistent challenges: cost, schedule, quality control, labor, material efficiency, and the growing need for housing across the entire spectrum of society.

Whether working on a custom residence, a complex commercial project, a new product, or a housing system, we focus on the same objectives: understand the problem deeply, challenge assumptions, and find a smarter way forward.

We believe the future of architecture lies not only in what we design, but in rethinking the systems we use to bring those designs to life.
